FAQ

First and foremost, we’re asking you to pray and seek God’s leading. Prepare your heart to hear Him, then do what He says. During this season:

  • Join a disciple group
  • Spend personal time with God in the Neighbors to Nations discipleship guide you received during the sermon series
  • Talk with your spouse, family or others about what this commitment will mean for the next season of your life

Then, make a sacrificial commitment to gospel-centered generosity, whatever God is leading you toward. Bring Him your first and best and stand in awe of who He is and what He can do with our obedience. We serve an awesome God, and we believe He will move in big ways through our collective Neighbors to Nations commitments, doing something only He can do.

We are asking that everyone make a two-year commitment. The fulfillment period for your commitment began with our Big Give on the weekend of December 3/6, 2026 and it will culminate on December 31, 2028.

You may have been part of church giving initiatives in the past that asked for a second gift, “above and beyond” your usual giving to make something special possible, like a new building or new ministry. Normally, that gift went to a “Building Fund,” while your regular offerings continued to the “General Fund.”

At The Church of Eleven22, we believe we’re on ONE MISSION: a movement for ALL people to discover and deepen a relationship with Jesus Christ. So, we want to encourage all of us to unleash our generosity toward that mission.

This Neighbors to Nations discipleship journey will last two years. During those two years, every gift given to The Church of Eleven22 will go to its three key components:

  • One Name
  • Neighbors
  • Nations

During this two-year period, every contribution to God through The Church of Eleven22 is a contribution to our Neighbors to Nations discipleship journey.

Every aspect of the ministry vision God is calling us towards for the next two years will be funded through Neighbors to Nations. There will not be separate funds. Every gift made will go into the same fund and will be our Neighbors to Nations giving.

Be creative as you explore ways you and your family can give towards Neighbors to Nations. You might have stocks, property or other items of that nature. Or you may have stored resources that God has blessed you with in the past that He just might be calling you to give out of during this time.

Please let us know if you need assistance with facilitating gifts of property or stock and we would be happy to help you with that. You can contact Anna Orgunov at anna.orgunov@coe22.com.

Neighbors to Nations is about your total, radical, sacrificial generosity to God's mission at The Church of Eleven22. We believe that God calls us to action in times of hardship just as much as He does in times of abundance and that looks different for every person. But Neighbors to Nations is about a heart change—one that is only accomplished by surrendering our lives completely over to God in this area of giving.

God may be calling you to make a commitment that you don't quite know how to fulfill right now, but that you believe God will provide for as you seek for ways to sacrifice and work towards that commitment. It is not about the size of the gift, but your obedience towards what God is calling you to in this season.

The primary goal of this discipleship journey is that each of us who calls The Church of Eleven22 home will ask, “What is my role in the Great Commission through my giving, growing and going?”

If you are someone currently seeking to make payments to pay off debt right now, we commend you for making progress on that. And you should continue to do so.

We would be happy to help you in this journey and/or to recommend a budgeting class that might minister to you. Being in debt does not, however, make someone "excused" from giving. Giving is not about what God wants from you; rather, it's about what God wants for you.

So, it should be our joy and privilege to give at all times. Please contact us if you need assistance with this or if you would like to speak with a budgeting counselor and we would be honored to help.

Neighbors to Nations was crafted specifically with you in mind. Neighbors to Nations is a "one fund" generosity initiative, meaning that it is different from a traditional capital campaign where you are called to give an extra gift above and beyond your normal giving—thus creating two steps for people who aren't yet giving. Neighbors to Nations is a call to sacrificial, gospel-centered generosity for absolutely everyone at The Church of Eleven22.

Neighbors to Nations is about the vision for our church. We believe that the local church is one of the most compelling missions to give towards and we would really love for you to make The Church of Eleven22 your home and join us in Neighbors to Nations.

People take different spiritual steps at different times. Some people begin praying before they begin attending church.

Others begin attending a disciple group before they begin talking to God through prayer. Giving is another spiritual step, and it comes at different times for different people.

One thing is certain, however: Just like other spiritual disciplines, giving draws us closer to God. And God is calling all of us to give. (Matthew 6:19)

Whether you have already taken the spiritual step of baptism or have yet to make that decision, we encourage you to join us in the Neighbors to Nations initiative. We firmly believe this journey will draw you closer to God and, if you have not yet been baptized, help lead you to a place where you are ready to take that next step.
